This christening gown is a beautiful work of art which is both stunning and special. Truly an heirloom piece to be passed down the generations. The Sarah gown has an overlay of silk organza which has been delicately hand smocked which makes up the body of the gown. Many pain stakingly loving hours have been put into the stunning shadow embroidery bows on the yoke and the body of the skirt. Four shadow work bows using only the finest silk thread have been embroidered and then embellished with bullion roses. A 90cm gown with a 100% silk dupion underlay ,lined with a very fine soft cotton batiste. Button up the back and a beautiful silk organza tie at the back to make a bow. The Sarah bonnet has also had the same attention to detail, a shadow work bow with bullion rose detail also adorns the crown of the bonnet finished with a very pretty silk organza frill. A masterpiece in traditional hand work. To be passed down the generations , Sarah will only enhance the auspiciousness of any little girls special day.
